Please explain the difference(s) between OUTBOUND DELIVERY & SHIPMENT.

Hiya.
Outbound deliveries are merged together in a shipment and shipped. you might also would create certain variants for having PGI and invoicing directly after the shipment is complete.
Shippent costs may also be configured.

Outbound delivery is a part of Shipping. Shipping has the following functions:
Deadline monitoring for reference documents due for shipment (sales orders and purchase orders etc.)
Creating and processing outbound deliveries
Planning and monitoring of worklists for shipping activities
Monitoring material availability and processing outstanding orders
Monitoring the warehouse's capacity situation
Picking
Packing deliveries
Information support for transportation planning
Support of foreign trade requirements
Printing and transmitting shipping documents
Processing goods issue
Controlling using overviews of deliveries currently in process
Activities that still are to be carried out

Hi,
Out bound delivery means it has so many sub activities..
1. Create out bound delivery
2. Picking ( Create and confirm Transfer Order if u have WM)
3. Shipment ( If the Delivery is relevant for transportation)
a. Packing
4. PGI
5. Delviery complete
