Hi Pavani,

You can consume through VC, WebDynPro,Adobe Forms, Simple Java Client etc

There are so many options available.

To form a business process from variety of Web Services Available , you can use CAF( Composite Application framework).

Hi Pavani,

CAF is used to make business processes.

Eg.

Step 1 needs to be executed by you( You apply for a leave)

Step 2 needs to be executed by your manager to approve it

Step 3 needs to be executed by HR to update leave status.

So, you can develop different UIs according to the the requirement and attach it to different steps, consume different services at each step and combine all the steps to form a process.

You can do much more than this using CAF -core and CAF -Guided Procedures.

CAF requires Java Stack and Enterprise Portal to run.

Go through this link.

Hope this helps.

Hi Pavani,

There are two things-

1) Defining/designing Enterprise Services(Web Services).

You can do this using ESR which is in built in PI 7.1 or if you don't

have PI 7.1, you can install ESR with CE 7.1

2) Consuming Enterprise Services(Web Services)

You can use any tool like WebDynPro, Adobe, Vc etc.

Now what you exactyly want to do?

So, you want to consume them. But Why are you looking for PI 7.1 then.

1) You can search Enterprise Services using UDDI which is shipped with PI 7.1

2) You can consume ES only if Enhancement Packages are installed on your ERP. Enterprise Services are delivered with Ehp.

3) Other choice( Not related to Enterprise Services). You can expose any Function Module in SAP ERP as Web Service .
