how to install down load manager on windows

JDK 1.4.2.10 to JDK 1.4.2.12 should be ok

Thanks for the reply,

but i already installed java " j2re-1_4_2_12-windows-i586-p.exe " and selected microsoft windows in step 3. and selected "Microsoft Windows installer (4.3 MB)" and installed DM. but when i am opening download manager through my program files looks liek my DM configuration not correct i am seeing status not connected at the bottm right corner.

WHat should i fill in download Manager configuration and proxey settings. doesi need ot select tunneling if so why ?

I remember you well. Sorry for the delay, was in meeting.

Details for DM settings, configure as below :

Address : http://service.sap.com/swdc

Username : your OSS id beginning with s000......

Password : oss id pswd

Proxy setttings :

select/check : use a proxy server ........

mention your proxy host : and the port no.: eg 8080

no need for tunneling unless you having a firewall

tunneling proxy servers are specially designed to help get past the restrictive firewalls

In Internet Explorer do the following - >tools ->Advanced ->HTTP 1.1 Setting ->check both the settings 1) Use HTTP 1.1 2) Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections
