db13 backup whole db backuo+ offline redolog

Hi,

I am trying to take whole database backup+offline redo log backup.

db13 could able to do whole online backup but it could not take offline redo log backup .

Error message is saying that ,it is looking into d:/oracle/p01/102/rdbms directory for offline redolog files (archived redo log files) where as offline redo logs are located in door/cp/102/radar/arch. Please let me know how to set the relevant directory paths to take complete backup.

Hi Sai,

Please check your Oracle initialization parameter LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST. This parameter should point to the correct location where you are offline redo log files are currently being stored.

You can also refer the SAP note 490976 for other reasons. If this note does not help you, please attach the complete log file.

thanks for your response, but my question is whatever logarchive_dest is fine which is located in /././102/oraarch/.. directory. but my db13 is looking into /././102/rdbms/... for offline redo log files while taking backup. how to rectify this problem

Please copy the complete log files of brbackup or brarchive which contains this error message.

I am sorry for delayed reply. Ihave solved my problem.

the problem was with log_archive_dest. path at os level is not set properly. thanks for answers.
