i thought time would be based on the calendars on your location in APO and the users time zone settings ....it gets converted to UTC on its way out to ECC and gets converted again based on the calendar there

so if you are not set up on the right time zone your UTC conversion will go wrong

to have the same times in APO and ECC you should have "same calendars, no scheduling-relevant order attributes that are only known in APO, such as dynamic setup, same durations, same master data, same scheduling strategies/direction" as required by the application

pl check note 423626:  Different dates in R/3 and APO:  (for orders sent from R/3 to APO

Since SAP APO does not use buffer times, only the start and end dates/times are transferred to SAP R/3. The dates scheduled by SAP APO correspond to basic dates in SAP R/3.

Hi,

This is usually because of time zone settings being different in the two integrated system. Check your settings in APO - usually it is displalyed in UTC, changing it to 'Local time zone of user' should re-align the data.

Hi

If you search in this forum there are loads of threads discussing this topic, also there are a lot of SAP OSS Notes describing the behaviour of the scheduling logic between APO and R/3. There is no real easy answer as to why yours differ as it could be down to a lot of things, but read the following SAP Note as a starter which explains the logic and then look through some of the other postings and you may get some good ideas as to what to do:
