lsmw not running in background

I am working on a SIR which is a lsmw and related to BOM conversion object.

It is supposed to run in background but its running in foreground.

Error Message: Field RC29N-DATUB. does not exist in the screen SAPLCSDI 0100.

what can be the reasons.

and how to debug a lsmw

Hi Smriti,

Which method are u using in LSMW? If you are using a recording, then are u using a call transaction within that. if u are doing as I assumed, it would not be able to execute the code in background.

Hi Smiriti,

I have there some problem in BDC recording.

The error means that a field was missing in the screen and you program tries to post some value in the missing field. Make a BDC recording again and change the LSMW accordingly.
