guys!!!
when i was tryingto create a billing document for a BOM item . The sub items are not showingh in the billing document, even in the print format on the screen . is that the way BOM works???
kiran
Hi kiran
Generally , if BOM explodes properly , pricing at header level in sales order , in delivery picking happens only for main item and for the sub items the picking qty will be zero . that is the reason it wont get coped into billing . only main item gets copied .so check copy controls in VTFL for those item categories
If pricing happens at sub item level then properly in sales order then in delivery the picking happens for sub items and for main item the picking qty will be zero that is the reason the main item doesnt get copied into billing , here also check the copy controls in VTFL for that item category so that it gets copied into billing

hi,
if the BOM has exploded properly in the sales order not in invoice then check in the copy control from del to billing VTFL. check at the item level if the item cat are proposed the same way as in order even in the invoice for explosion to take place.

Dear Kiran,
-->First you find what are item categories determined then go to transaction VOV7 select the itemcategory go in to detail check the Billing relevence field under business data tab.
Maintain the 'A' -Delivery Related -Billing document.
-->Check the price of the sub items in the Sales order whether the pricing is coming or not.
-->Check the item level copy control settings between delivery and invoice in VTFL transaction.
I hope it will help you

Dear kiran alahari
You need to maintain in material master, the item category should be ERLA for Header material and component as LUMF. Moreover, have you maintained sales BOM in CS01 with BOM usage 5??
thanks
