delivery item category

Hello Gurus,

if I have item category in sales order, do I need difine delivery item category in customizing? I think the answer is "no need". but how about if I want to configrue fields Relevant for Picking" in the delivery item category if there is corresponding delivery item category defined ? thanks very much!

Hi

The item category determines the behaviour of the particular Item in that particular sales document - Normal Item Category.

The delivery item category, the same way as above, determines how the item should behave in the delivery.

If you compare the fields in the configuration(vov7) of Normal Item Category and Delivery Item Category - you will definitely feel the need of the delivery item category.
