problem during installation of oacle patchset 10.2.0.2

I am facing the following problem during installation of oracle patchset 10.2.0.2 with SAP SRM 3.0 (with EBP 4.0) on HP-UX IA64. Already my system has oracle patchset 9.2.0.7 installed. Experts' opinion required urgently please..

hi ben. I ran the runinstaller with the debug option. This is what it gave: (might be helpful for your analysis of the problem)

ive tried doing that as well..its still throwing the same error

thank you ben..but ive checkd the space in /tmp. its more than required.. its more than 500MB and also ive set the 777 permission on /tmp recursively..so..any other solution from you???

Hi,

It looks the problem with space problem.

Can you try to create folder /tmp/orainst. change the environment variable

export TMP=/tmp/orainst

or

setenv TMP /tmp/orainst

change owner of folder "orainst" to ora<sid>

change permissions 777

Hi,

There is not enough space in "/tmp" . Make sure 300 MB free space in /tmp
