what is diff between delivery related sales order & billing related sales order ???

Hi,

In order related billing, the Invoice will be generated with reference to the order. Example... For service relevent scenario we will be doing the order related billing because there is no physical goods movement happens.

In delivery related billing, the Invoice will be generated with reference to the delivery. Example... sales of any stock item, we iwll deliver the goods to the customer, then create the invoice with reference to the delivery.

hi prasanth,

extending the Answer of shasikanth,

1) Order Related Billing:

some items are not related to delivery, like service items.

these items will be defined by different ITEM Categories.

2) Delivery Related billing:

standard item like TAN,which is delivery related billing.that means for this item we need to create a delivery documnet.with reference to delivery document we need to create a billing document.

when we define item category,

we miantain whether its order related or Delivery related billing.

The respective field in item category is......

Relavant for Billing A - delivery related billing

B - Order realted billing

by this we can say item category defines, whether item is relavent for billing or not and also it defines whether its a Order related or Delivery Related billing.

The Respective billing document type will be determined from Sales document type(vov8).

hi

order related - for all the items in a particular order.(order no 1. total line items 15. PI canbe made for 15 items irrespective of stock available for those 15 items.)

dely related - for available items in a particular order.(order no. 2. total line items 15. items available in only 7 items. make a del.memo for the available 7 items. with the del.memo no, PI can be made for those 7 items).

hi,

first of make me clear that from where did you come across these two processes. As per my knowledge there are two types of billing types

1) Order related billing type : The billing type that the system automatically proposes when you create billing documents (invoices, credit memos, etc.) that refer to sales orders.

2) Delivery related billing type : The billing type that the system automatically proposes for this type of sales document during the creation of billing documents (invoices, credit memos, etc.) that refer to deliveries.

Order related billing:

Order related billing used in service kind of scenarios. No delivery required we only provide service Ex Technicion work hours no materials involved in this scenario.

Delivery related billing:

In delivery related billing, the Invoice will be generated with reference to the delivery. Example... sales of any stock item, we iwll deliver the goods to the customer, then create the invoice with reference to the delivery.
