Hi Experts,
I have a scenario IDoc to cXML for sending ORDERS05 .
We got a requirement to develope a scenario by extending the Order header and line extention segements to include extra fields)of the IDoc used in the above scenario , hence I am doing the following
-Imported the extended IDoc into the Integration repository.
-Mapped the extra fields included to the target message.
-reloaded the IDoc Metada using IDX2.
As i am doing this as part of the other project please suggest on the following
--Explain the sections to be included in the Technical design document for XI configuration.
--configurations that I need to work on.
please do suggest any other things i need to work on to take the right approach.
Thanks in advance.
MK
Hi,
Nothing more u require in XI development when ever u are dealing with the Extended IDOC's.
Normal procedure as Standard IDOC's only.
If u are not able to view the extended IDOC's in the Repository means then u have to think the solution.
This problem is not there for u. so go a head with the normal procedure by importing those IDOC's in IR and do mapping as usual

Thanks Chirag and Seshagiri,
will it be OK to refer to the previous project in the TDD for the same config and to incude the config details for the extra fields.
and the same scenario has to allow both the POs for both the projects.
would that make any difference.
Please suggest further.
Thank you.
Thanks Seshagiri,
I am having issues due to runtime mapping exceptions, as the data passed with the IDoc for the present project differs with the previous project scenario.
And as i don't have any sample IDoc(present project scenario) to workout those issues with mapping routine.
Please suggest how can i approach it. so that I don't have runtime mapping exceptions, when I extend the previous project scenario.
Hi,
I found your (unanswered) question about the mapping of iDoc ORDERS05 to cXML.
At this very moment we are being confronted with the same issue. I do not have any experioence with idoc's nor with complex mappings in PI.
Wer you able to solve all your problems and could give us some concrete advise over it?
We would be very gratefull.
Kris
HI,
U need to extend the IDOC then u need to do a standard procedure.
Refer the below link for IDOC extension and then u need to import the IDOC in to the imported objects.
