Cannot see the Design Board in VC in NW CE 7.1

I have a seemingly successful installation of all components of SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 on a virtual machine. However, when I start up visual composer and begin to create a model, I cannot see the Design board. Instead, I have a small box in the upper left hand corner under the tab with a square, circle, and triangle in it. I cannot drag an icon from the task panel onto it. I am unsure of what is missing or what configuration settings may be incorrect.

Please check if you have the add-ons you need in order to run VC.

Thank you. I was missing the Adobe SVG Viewer component. Everything now seems to be functioning properly.
