Hi experts,
Could any one explain me the following.
1. the integration of WM with MM
2. What are the steps to be executed after GR if WM is active
3. What are Transfer requirement and transfer order
Kindly give the funda not the documentation,
thnx in advance,
1. the integration of WM with MM
In MM we use Storage Locations...
Extention to Storage Locations are Ware houses....in WM
2. What are the steps to be executed after GR if WM is active
After GR, You Need to Create
Transfer Requirement,
Transfer Order,
and Confirm Transfer Order.
3. What are Transfer requirement and transfer order
Transfer Requirement is just like Purchase Requisition,
i.e., To request to keep a particualar qty of material in
Storage Bin
and Transfer Order is Just like Purchase Order.
and Confirm Transfer order is just like Release Strategy.
or confirmations concept in MM.
In CTO, If you found Bin is Damaged, Then you create
Other Transfer Order.

I think that you have had the answer to your question. I am trying to get people to keep the forum tidy. If you have what you require could you award you points if you want to and mark your question as answered.
This helps everybody as there are at the moment 48 pages of open questions and if people do not close them the forum will grow and then people like me will not go through all of the pages as it takes too long and some people will not get answers to their questions.
Thank you
Frenchy

Hi dear,
When you implement the Warehouse Management System (WMS), you manage goods movements and stock changes in the warehouse at storage bin level. However, if you implement Lean WM, inventory management takes place solely at storage location level. The system does not update the stock data at storage bin level using the quants.
You use Lean WM solely for processing goods receipts and goods issues. Using Lean WM, you process the warehouse movements in basically the same way as if using the Warehouse Management System: you work with deliveries, and you create transfer orders for these deliveries. These transfer orders serve as pick lists (see also Using the Transfer Order as a Pick List in Lean WM). We recommend that you implement Lean WM if you wish to pick deliveries in a warehouse that you are not managing using WMS.
