Hi,

There is nothing to do with uncode/non-unicode systems with SAP Router. It's service which used to connect your desired systems in the routtab via. Internet.

Here is some good documentation.

http://service.sap.com/Internetconnection

I know, but I didn´t find informations about difference between unicode and non-unicode. I would like be monitored systems behind saprouter and I thought, it´s relevant for special functions which saprouter binaries are in use.

Hello Rene,

Unicode / Non-Unicode debate comes into picture in the case of Databases and SAP Kernel's ability to handle Unicode or Non-Unicode data.

SAP Router is an independent software just like your Internet Explorer it won't differenciate between Unicode or Non-Unicode systems.

If you are not convinced, you can raise an OSS Message and ask SAP themselves or maybe keep the thread open for a longer time.

If you are okay then you can choose to close this thread by marking it answered.

Hello Rene,

SAP Router I think has nothing to do with Unicode/Non-Unicode SAP Kernel cause SAP Router doesn't store any data, it is simply a firewall that reads a text file called saprouttab.
