Dear Friends,
Can u pls tell me how is tax calculated in the sales order?
Thank u.
Regards,
Mili
Dear Mili
Several parameters influence the tax amounts and tax rates determination. The most important ones include:
--> Delivering country (origin)
--> Tax class of the ship-to partner
--> Tax class of the material being shipped
--> Tax calculation date
--> Jurisdiction code from ship-to-party (customer)
--> Jurisdiction code from ship-from address (plant)
--> Point-of-order acceptance
--> Point-of-order origin
SAP defaults the ship-from jurisdiction maintained on the plant as the point-of-order acceptance, and defaults the ship-to jurisdiction maintained on the customer as the point-of-order origin.
thanks

I think you are using Indian specific tax function?
logistic general -> tax on goods movements -> India -> Basic settings -> determination of excise duty -> select tax calculation procedure
if you select the document icon, and you see an explanation about the difference of TAXINN and TAXINJ.
If you click on formula-based excise determination, it leads to a help file. And within which transaction J1ID is provided.
It seems that for Excise, the indian tax function, transaction J1ID is used to maintain the tax rate. Would you please check it in your system?

Hi,
Tax - saleable tax is calculated by condition types in the pricing procedure of SD.
there are different condition types for VAT, Excise,etc.
They all can be configured in the pricing procedure of SD.
For new Tax code please use T.Code: FTXP and create a new tax code here and ensure this is a country specific and you have to maintain the condition Type for that.
Please take your FI/Co consultant help in this regard.
regards,
Siddharth.
