Dear All,
Intranet or Internet or both?, Standard Framework Page or Light Framework Page or both? Is a big question interme of what content we are providing and Hardware and Software, number of Users
One of our portal installtions we need to provide access to both Internal users (Company/Intranet users) and external Users (Internet users).
I have seen a slide with Standard Framework Page and Light Framework Page.
Internal Users Login from Company Domain:
1. They will login to http://portalserver/irj/portal (LAN) he/she will be directed to Standard Framework Page
2. Sane user he login from his residence he/she logsin to http://portalserver/irj/portal (WAN) he/she will be directed to Light Framework Page.
Internet Users Login
1. When an internet user logs in to portal he will login to http://www.company.com
2. Reverse proxy will be setup this inturn direct to Portal it inturn directs to Light Framework page.
Now the question is currently we have only one develoment environment.
A) Is it possible to develop content for both Standard and Light Framework(May be custom Framework page) page in the DEV box
B) For our production we will have Two portal installations one for Internal and one for External can we transfer respective content from Dev box to Internal portal and external portal this shouls not be big problem
Maintaining both the portals and conncting them to same database and synchornization between both the portals and databases How can we do this.
Any suggestions on this topic please
Thanks in Advance.
