Hello,
SDM needs p/w since you want to deploy the file on the application level.
Reward the point if you find its ok.

Hi Krishna,
Once you developed the application you can deploy the application to server via NWDS or Visual admin or SDM.

Whenever you wish to deploy a component via SDM, you need to specify password. This is a mandatory step, just like when you require to login, you need a password.
Now once you provide the password, SDM would cache your session and use the credentials to successsfully finish the deployment and thereafter you logout.
Hope it is now understood.

Siddhesh
Hello Krishna,
Its not first time but everytime you run RemoteGui.bat file it will ask for SDM password for authentication.
Even if you use JSPM it will ask for SDM password.
Its mandatory.
Reward points appreciated if you find this information useful.

Yep,
Anytime you logon to the SDM you need to authenticate. This is tandard behaviour.
