Partner Not Reached

Hi all,

I am trying to configure SLD on my system.

It successfully creates JCO. But when I am testing the connection, it gives exception saying partner not reached (hostname: ABC, service: sapmsAB1 etc... ).

Please guide me to find out the reason as to why this exception is thrown and what are the ways it can be eleminated.

Hi,

Check if the ABAP server is running.

Do you have a SAP logon pad in your system.

Use it and try to connect to the system.Please convey the status

Hi Bharathwaj,

the ABAP server is running and I am able to log in through SAP logon pad.

I was wondering if that is to something with service and host file in etc folder?

Hi,

Is their entry in the services file like

sapms<SID> 36<inst no>/tcp

It sshould be there.
