Hello,

Idoc is an Intermediate document in which sending & receiving both are on SAP system as both are same system so there is no need to convert idoc to Xml

Abap Stack consist of Integration Server which in turn contains Integration engine..

Idoc Adapter can directly communicate with IS n therefore it reside on Abap Stack..

Rfc is a Remote function call so function are called by remote system therefore we need to convert in Xml form.

Java Stack contains the Adapter Engine & Integration Repository & Integration Design run on J2EE engine

Rfc Adapter is provided by the AdapterEngine therefore it reside on Java Stack

Regarding HTTP ,obviously it on J2EE Stack. Java is present standard for OSI layer model.and HTTP part of it.They accepted Java.

Hi,

Nop,

Both the sender & the receiver HTTP + IDOC adapters are on ABAP Stack only

where as in case of Receiver we need adapter, why because after XI process the message ,that XML message needs to be converted into Receiver format. So we need the adapter here.
