Hi,

Collecting objects for Transporting

1. rsa1->transport connection

2. left panel choose 'object type', middle panel choose 'infocube' and 'select objects'

3. then choose your infocube and 'transfer'

4. will go to right panel, choose collection mode 'manual' and grouping only 'necessary objects'

5. after objects collection finished, create request

6. If they are $TMP, then change the package.

7. When you click the Save on the change package, it will prompt for transport. Here you can provide an existing open transport request number, or if you like here itself you can create a new one.

8. You can check the request in SE09 to confirm.

Releasing Transport Request

Lets say you are transporting from DEV to QA

Step 1: In DEV go to TCode SE10

Step 2: Find the request and release it (Truck Icon or option can be found by right click on request #)

Note: First release the child request and then the parent request

Steps below are to import transport (generally done by basis )

Step 1: In QA go to Tcode STMS

Step 2: Click on Import queue button

Step 3: Double Click on the line which says QA (or the system into which transport has to be imported)

Step 4: Click on refresh button

Step 5: High light the trasnport request and import it (using the truck icon)

Hi Siva,

Moving required objects from 1 system toi other system is really painfull activity, even we had a very tough time in moving our objects to Qty & Prod systems.

Only thing you have to be carefull abt here is fix your TP befor you create the objects.

For Egg if i am making a data flow for 2LIS_11 i need gather all the objects related to the data flow that can be moved to next system.

In this case we created the TP first by stages wise.

1 TP for inforsource

1 TP for ODS and Update Rules

1 TP for Reports.

To Create TP's use SE09 or SE10 or SE01

When you start creating the objects make sure that you save under the respective TP's.

After that Object creation is done use of the T-codes mentioned above to cross check the objects under each TP.

Later if you do any changes to the objects make sure thgat you save it under the same TP.

This prcocess will be followed if you are going for Generic.

If you are installing any Business Cont objects then use 1 TP for all the objects to save.

After you complete binding the objects under the TP go to SE01 and Release the sub task first and then release the main req.

After you release the request go to the next preciding box and log into STMS (T-code) there pick your server and find the TP directly.Once you find the TP in the Import Queue select it and start importing it into Quality system by clicking on a Truck symbol.

This way you can bring the objects from one system to other syste.

Once this TP is been imported into Quality then it is automatically available in prod STMS Import Queue for import into Prod.

Hope this is clear for you.........!!!

Best Regards,

VNK.

Hi Siva,

Initially after completing the Development work for all the required objects a request will be assigned or U have to create a new work bench request. Include all Ur objects in that request, it can be done by using T-codes SE09 and SE10.

After including all the objects release the transport requests, initially it'll go to QA there U have to test Ur objects to check they are in active version or any objects may be missing.

If there are any modifications to be done then bring the request back to Dev and do the modifications and then release it to QA, if every thing is OK in QA then flag it as successful test and release the same to production. Normally Basis Team will transport the objects. We need to include the objects and check them in QA.

Hope this will clarify your query.............
