Record... Replay action on Web Dynpro Java Applications

hi,

i am looking for more info on Web Dynpro Java Application testing with the "RECORD"/ "REPLAY" actions.

it is recording alright but when i replay it just shows some XML.

what i am looking for is testing such that the entire application can be seen running and even automating the test scripts such that i can give data to UI at run time.

Does SAP give a provision for such testing.

IF no then what other tools/products by other vendors should be used ??

As far as my understanding is....

ecatt is more like a central repository for storing test scripts.
