Hi - in case you have green lights in lc10, check transaction /sapapo/om13 to analyze livecache. And look at the tab initialization to see the status.

Srinivas, Vinod:

When executed second time, the Live Cache Program runs successfully.

But every week, when we run for the first time, it is failing. Any ideas?

After it fails the first time, can you check in LC10 if the LC is actually up and running ?The "LiveCache Monitoring" with green color will represent this.

It looks the second time on the LC is actually up. So maybe the program is toggling between deactivate and activate statuses. I am not sure if you got any specific error message on scheduling the first time round in background.

I would definitely not recommend you to run this on a scheduled basis. Once the Live Cache is up, let it be UP.

check what LC build and basis support pack you are on

according to note 764537-

When you initialize liveCache using the above options, a function module is called that first stops liveCache (exec_lcinit stop) and then initializes it (exec_lcinit init)

also are u running both jobs with the same user id? there could be authorizations on initializing LC thats stopping it in one job

the first time when the Live cache program is executed background,it fails and give the following error message:

system failure at FM LC_INIT_APPLICATION.

The job is executed by using one User id. The problem is this worked some weeks back and now all of sudden it stopped working..

Any ideas?

Hello Naga N ,

1) If you questions/problems with liveCache => please create the

thread at MAXDB/liveCache forum:

2) You are running the liveCache => You are SAP customer.

As SAP customer you have the option to get the SAP support. You could create the SAP ticket

to the component 'BC-DB-LVC' or 'BC-DB-LCA', the SAP support could logon via OSS to your

system and take a look closer on this issue.

3) Why do you need to run the liveCache initialization so often on your system?

Is it brand new installation?

Please review the liveCache installation guide & SAP note :: 640107

4)"Any ideas?" You are using the LCA connection to run RSLVCINIT report.

How did you define the variant if you run RSLVCINIT in the Background?

Please check the LCA connection settings in LC10 -> Integration. What reports did you

set in the reports 'Folder'?

What is the version of your system? What is the version of liveCache on your system?

What is the SP of the SAP Basis on your system?

5) The liveCache information/documents available at SAP links ::

service.sap.com/liveCache

service.sap.com/scm -> SAP SCM Technology

< check the document at -> Information on SCM 4.1 and prior releases

Information on SCM 4.1 and prior releases you will find here.

-> click on <here> ->Best Practices for mySAP SCM Solution Management

For SAP liveCache documentation in English < See the SAP note 767598 >: For example,
