The problem I am having is we are trying to schedule a BI job chain via Redwood software and are not getting any response. Within Redwood, I have executed these jobs IMPORT_BW_CHAINS, IMPORT_BW_CHAIN_DEFINITION, IMPORT_BW_INFOPACKAGES using BI job chain 0fcsm_cm_10 which is defined in BI as a job chain. These jobs run to completion but nothing is moved into Redwood to schedule as you would see from a import of a CCMS job. When I run job RUN_BW_CHAIN using the same BI job chain ID I receive the below error. Not sure what Im missing or doing with the process to get to schedule the BI job chains with Redwood.

Hi,
The two most likely causes of this error are:
- the process chain in BI is set to "direct scheduling": it needs to be set to scheduling via API or meta-chain
- the security of the RFC user used by CPS is not sufficient: please verify the security setup as detailed in the CPS documentation
To find out more about the cause, please check the messages in SM21 in the SAP system, you will probably find more information there.
Regards,
Anton
Hi David,
Can you send me the output of the RW_SHOW_INSTALLED_OBJECTS script ?
I'll have a look if I can find the cause of the error in RSI_RUN_BW_CHAIN.
One answer: BI job chains are only shown when run through Redwood, ie. RSI.RSI_RUN_BW_CHAIN.
Regards,
Anton.

HI David,
I do not think you are doing something wrong. But if you see the failed job in your system, it will have one more job (usually + sign for expanding). So in that child job, you will be able to find the exact error.
Request you to put that error.
Best regards.
Rajeet

Hi David,
Check the child jobs when RSI_IMPORT_BW_CHAINS finishes successfully. If you see any error, please let us know.
Please note that you should import a chain which does not have starttime and periodicity defined in BW Chain. These should be defined in CPS. Make sure the authorizations are sufficient for CPS to start the chain. When you schedule the chain, if you see any error in any of the child jobs please note that and let the forum know about it.
Can you please share those errors?
