Use Role Expert for BI 7.0 ?

Hi,

We are implmenting Role Expert in a landscape that has bI 7.0 and wanted to know if RE can be used to maintain BI roles across the landscape. IF yes are there any specific steps to be executed other then running the background jobs.

Please detail out any additional steps that are required use RE for BI.

Do you use an ABAP stack or a JAVA stack for your BI box?

If your BI is on ABAP stack then RE/ERM will work. If you are trying to use RE/ERM for Java stack then it will not work. As of now, ERM/RE can only generate roles into ABAP based systems. You can use RE as role documentation tool for Java stack and other ERM systems though.
