Transfer of "coverage profile" - MM MRP2 View to APO through CIF

Dear all,

How do we maintain the "coverage profile " (of Material Master - MRP2 view) in Product master of APO and wheter the impact will be there in SNP run for the same, if we maintain in Prooduct Master.

Can we transfer the same from EEC 6.0 to APO through CIF integration model.

Hi Ram,

Unfortunately coverage profile is not transferred to APO in standard. Since my client had used to use it in ECC, I found another solution. I enhanced material master transfer to APO. This enhancement reads customizing in ECC, and material master data in order to get the coverage profile details. Then writes the coverage profile details to the product master extra fields in APO (These extra fields are added in customizing). For example coverage profile says that calculate average daily requirement in 20 days and then using this average demand calculate 10 days of stock as safety stock. I transfer those 20 and 10 to product master data. Then in SNP, I wrote a macro to calculate dynamic safety stock exactly the same as ECC does. Then while SNP heuristic runs, it takes into account the calculated dynamic safety stock.

Hi

No, It will not get not transferred to APO. But similar functionality can be maintained in APO product master under safety stock method. The values could be MM and MZ

I am not sure if the range of coverage comes into APO product master.I dont think it influences SNP run in any way since the field in only relevant for MRP planning in R3.

Equivalent functionality already exists in APO called time-phased planning using quantity or days of supply.
