Changing Generic Sync App to SmartSync

Hi All,

We have an existing mobile device application that has orignally been written as a Generic sync application. We have decided to now "upgrade" to SmartSync because of its obvious benifits. I am doing research and it seems that this is not that simple! The API for writing these kind of applications seem to be Generic Sync/SmartSync specific!

Is there no "smooth" transistion from Generic to SmartSync? Is an application re-write (to compensate for different API) unavoidable?

Please advise.

Hi,

There is no "smooth" way to convert Generic app to a Smart Sync app. Architecture is too different.

But Smart Sync has its obvious advantages to invest into the upgrade.
