Issue: understanding stock overview message which is ‘The sum of the requested quantity exceeds the sum of the stock items’ although accordingly there are still many unrestricted stocks for such material when check in MMBE.
When the client want to have a cumulative ATP quantity, they have to postpone Rel orders which we should not do. Is there an other possibility for them to avoid receiving this message? This issue came up when they entered the PDT (planned delivery time) in material master data (transactions MM02 ->MRP1 view and ME12). If PDT is removed the message "‘The sum of the requested quantity exceeds the sum of the stock items’" does not pop up. The thing is that they are not allowed to remove the PDT.
