ALRTINBOX (no messages)

Hi, All

I am using XI 3.0 SAP 640 SP20, can you please tell me when I goto ALRTINBOX it does't show any alerts, but SXMB_MONI does works fine... and show lot of alerts...

2nd question how to setup step by step to eamil xml messages?

3rd question; how to send xml messages to different users where should I define them?

please take little bit time to write down thanks

Dear mtravisawan,

The steps are as follows

1. Define an Alert classification (tcode - ALRTCATDEF).

While defining the classification - in the fixed recipient tab, define the users who should receive the emails.

2. Create aLert contitions in you RWT. Go to alert configurations in RWT and define the conditions.

3. Go to Se37 and run the admin report (can not remember the report name right now - just do a search in sdn "Alert Admin Report") to create a variant of that alert classification.

4. GO to sm36 and schedule the job

Now you should start getting some slert in your inbox.

Again, when I goto ALRTCATDEF and created XDV_ALRT what does't it mein that, is that alerts comes from XLM messages?

I am really confouse if alerts comes from SXMB_MONI so why we going to ALRTCATDEF and define them again...?

How I setup xml messages go through email;

and why we goto RWB and what is the perpose of XIRWBUSER when and why we are using?

do you have XI and alerts comes in your email?

if yes, please please help about me about that, almost 2 months i am trying to setup for that....

Dear mtravisawan Awan ,

I think you are getting confused. sxmb_moni has nothing to do with alerts. It is purely to monitor incoming and outgoing messages.

when you go to ALRTCATDEF and creat XDV_ALRT - that means you are telling the system to generate alert emails for you in case of an error. Also here you are defining who wil receive alerts? How the email should look like? What is the subject and the content?

As long as you follow my steps .........do not worry about XML messages.

YOu go to RWB to actually define conditions for alert. you tell the system at what condition the alert should be trigerred?

Yes alerts will go to your email and you will see an entry in the alert inbox too.

I thing you very well understand what I was trying to saying... ok I tell you back hostory about my problem....

We are using SAP640C SP20 XI30.... installed about more then 3 years ago!!!

Company wants XML messages comes through lotus notes eamil when every any RED flag in MONI, as you said its noting any link XML alerts thats ok. I don't warry about that

Before SAPconnect wasn't work at all I fixed that one when I goto SOCT or SO01 to eamil SAP internaly its working fine..

its mean that SMTP its fine...

When I goto RZ21 or RZ20 what I will setup; and what kind of alerts we will doing there,

Question:

1. our company wants when you goto SXMB_MONI as you know its show list of errors someone comes from different servers, company said when ever its comes with RED falg and comes with PRD server eamil to SAP basis time; if comes through DEV eamil goes to ABAP guyes.... someitng like that...

2. how to setup from RZ20 or RZ21 through these email

3. currently as i maintion above when I fixed SAPconnect from that day I received some Alerts with XML attachment in my eamil; I thing becuase of I created ALRTCATDEF

4. How do i created I let you know... I follow some doc. first I goto RZ21 and copy CCMS_Online_ALERTS class to Z_CCMS_online_alrts...

5. then I goto RWB using my XI user name and Password and create alert configuration and select alert category its show my alert category there...

6. when I goto ALRTCATDEF its show fix receiption I put my user name there...but how to classification to this alerts for thesase poples and ohters alerts for others peoples...?

looks like you are in the right track.................but you are mising the following steps...

Exchange Infrastructure Monitor and 3.5 GRMG Monitoring configuration

I goto SAP notes 634771 and download customizing file its scenario file... and create RFC connection as well only one for testing purpose which is "System LandScape Directory"

I put that file name like "XDV_SLD" then goto tr: GRMG and updated that file its show green check mark its mean that no error

remember I did only one RFC connection

which is show page no. 16 for this doc.

I thing i am stick in same doc. page no 20 heading The Best pracitics

From the CCMS monitor sets

screen, copy the template SAP

Exchange Infrastructure to the new

monitor set.

Question: what set monitor will I select?

and what kind of alert category i will create ?

can we create togather as a test purpose ?

Hi all

We are using XI30 SAP640 SP20 and trying to create Alerts to eamil setup

SAPconnect is working fine... all eamil works fine... in SAP system

with test connection no errors...:), i will be create some more RFC connecitno first

I have to makesure its will works fine... or not ?

Hi,

I am using this blogs and pretty much I done everying; but I have one question; when I create (Contaner variable its asking me "Object Type Widnow"

look like:-

XML Object type

ABAP class

BOR Object class

Not Define

I selected XML Object type (I am not sure is that right or wrong?)

+ when I goto RWB and add roles AlertInBOX show empty no error but I am getting some alert in my eamil; how to test it
