ESS Password problem

Hi

We are facing a problem for all ESS users that when ever they try to log into the ESS it says incorrect password and we have to reset their password .

After reseting the password it will allow them to enter into the system but not next time.

Please help

Hi Vinay

May I know what is your initial password? I once have this problem because my password has funny character that Portal does not accept (EP6 SP2). However, not sure is this the same issue though.

R u using EP ? If so,

GOto System ADministartion-Um configuration-Direct Editing

Check the following properties ...

1. Show the self-registration link on the logon screen

2. (Type: Bool, Default: 'TRUE')

ume.logon.security_policy.password_last_change_date_default=12/31/9999

ume.logon.security_policy.password_max_length=14

ume.logon.security_policy.password_min_length=0

ume.logon.security_policy.password_mix_case_required=0

ume.logon.security_policy.password_special_char_required=0

If any property varies , change that ,restart the server.
