Hi
From SD point of view both look same but there is a small difference :
Invoice is a document which we bill to customer for the goods delivered
Billing is the terminology which consultants use as there are several billing types like F2,F1,F5,IV,G2,etc but invoice doesn't have any invoice types as billing have
so invoice is something which we send to customer
Billing is something which consultants use to discriminate the billing type ,
Reward if useful

Dear madhu reddy
From SD point of view, both are same. In SD terminology, we can call it as Billing document, whereas from FI terminology, they can call it as invoice. Also we can differentiate in a way that invoice is a document refer to delivery of goods whereas billing refers to payment from customer. From SD point of view, we can even call the proforma invoice as invoice, whereas, from FI point of view, it is not so.
thanks
