Change of unit in Usage Decision

Pl. help me in following senario,

I want to change the unit of measure while I am posting the material to unrestricted use during usage decision in QM.

I have maintained this alternate unit in material master.

Pl. give me u r valuable suggestions.

Sorry. For an already created inspection lot you must post in the UOM shown in the UD positng screen.

I believe if you check OSS there is a BAPI or enhancement that cen be used to allow you to post by the stockkeeping unit as opposed the BUOM which is usually used by QM. Someone else might know the specific info off the top of their heads, but I don't. Once in place though, this should allow you to post via the stock posting units for future inspection lots. It will have no effect on current ones.
