Single Role showing Many profiles in SU01

Hello,

My apologies as I'm somewhat new to SAP Security. I have a single role that's producing multiple profiles in SU01. My question is why are there multiple profiles showing for this one role in the profiles tab? I was under the understanding that for single roles the relationship should be 1-1, one role to one profile. How can I correct this?

I appreciate any advice.

Yes this is possible with large roles. When the number of authorizations exceeds a set number (can't recall the amount), profile generator will create additional profiles. You will notice that there is a sequential number at the end of the profile name for the additional roles.

Just adding to JC's comment/

Yes..if a profile reaches max number of objects it creates a new incremental profile. Max limit of a single profile is 150 object. you can go to SU02 and look for the objects and related profiles.

what is the max on profiles that PG can generate for a role.

When a role maxes out on profile generation how does the role/system behave?
