database deadlock

hi,

this is ali i am getting the following error due to that deadlock will accoring

DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

The database system detected a deadlock and avoided it by rolling back

The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLDISP" in "UPDATE_MDVM".

The main program was "RMMRP000 ".

my environment is

Operating system......... "HP-UX"

Release.................. "B.11.11"

Hardware type............ "9000/800"

ORACLE 9.2.0..

Patch level.............. "196"

please some hlep me out with this night mare

Hi,

even i am getting the same error in sm21 after upgrading db to 10.2.0.2.

error is

Signal 4 reveived by OS.

Database errror 24909 at FET.

Database errror 3114 at FET.

Update reminated.

Operating system call rec failed.

Could you please help me out.

OS details are same as you.

Did you install the latest interim patches (40+) for your platform? Just installing 10.2.0.2 is not enough...

Hi,

You could start helping yourself:

SAP Note 84348 Oracle deadlocks, ORA-00060

is the starting point.

99% of the cases I've seen, the issue is application. The note will help you to identify it.

What is the size of the abap/buffersize in the Instance profile.

Try increasing it.

Also check ST22 and SM21 for further clues.

HI. The SAP version is ? When you see such error? Are you check in ST22 and logs in sm21 ?

Why the Oracle version is 9.2.0 ? You need at least the patch it to 9.2.0.7 (best is 9.2.0.8).
