Dispatcher Stops

Dear All,

We have recently installed an image of SAP ECC 6.0. After working for a day, when I try to start the services in SAP Management console, the status of dispatcher changes to 'stopped' and everything under ABAP WP Tables changes to 'Ended'.

I have detached and re-attached the database{the files are on an external HDD}. I have even tried changing the db owner to my sysid (=ec6) but without any success.

I am pasting the dev_w0 & dev_w1 for your reference. Please check it and let me know what needs to be done to get it working!

this is the problem:

C ERROR: schema user ec6 has administrator fixed server role (user_name() is 'dbo').

C This is not allowed. Please check the Server Roles of user ec6.

Open the properties of the ec6 login and remove the System Admin Role. The login has to have the Server Admin, Bulk Admin and DB Creator role.

thx a lot, I had the same error message in the work trace log. I had to uninstall MSSQL2005 and reinstall MSSQL 2008 after an upgrade problem. By manually creation of login user, db user and shema I added sysadmin instead of serveradmin role... that was the mistake... the following provided solution solved the problem.

Open the properties of the ec6 login and remove the System Admin Role. The login has to have the Server Admin, Bulk Admin and DB Creator role.
