SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS

Hi All,

I got SAPGUI for java 6.40 , its not working properly, how do i need to change GUI to work on WINDOWS.. can anyone please suggest me(As i downloaded SAPGUI from SAP Service Market).

There is a SAPGUI for windows too. You have to download it to work on windows environment. I do not suggest to use SAPGUI for Java because of some missing functionality. Someone was complaining about password window not showing up in SLDAPICUST transaction.

SAPGUI for Windows is the best option to work on frontend.

SAP Software Distribution Center -> Download -> Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Frontend Components -> SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS -> SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS 6.40

After downloding unzip the CD and go to directory GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32 and double click on setup.exe

hey kumar,

create a text file, say, sapgui.ini having the contents

<SID> : /M/<hostname>/S/<msg_server_port>

save it and mention it in the preferences of sapgui for java.

e.g,

CXI : /M/pciib04530/S/3600

Hello,

It works fine for me on Linux KDE.

So try to configure the Office and Web browser option.

Option -> Preferences -> Desktop.

For kde integration, I need to put "kfmclient openURL %u text/xml" in the browser conf. With this konqueror applet is use to open xml file.

Try something like this for IE.
