Hello guys
one of my friends wanted to know this.
He is planning to learn and practice SAP and since his company doesn't have SAP installed, he was looking at other legal options.
He said, that he saw on EBAY people selling hard drives with SAP loaded on that. He also found CDs with different modules etc.,
Is it legal to buy that?
If you can please let me know, I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Ram
Hi ,
Just find out whether it is a trial version or not.It is also called as IDES which people use in training institutes.
If it is so then no problem..Rather than that no ebay nor an individual can afford buying SAP licensed software.

SreeRekha:
First...You can ask for points on SCN...It's forbidden.
Second...You can't buy propietary software...Not matter if it's training software. SAP might give that software for free to training institutes, but it doesn't mean that it can't be sold.
I bought Horst Keller's book, so I own a NetWeaver Sneak Preview copy...It's mean...But I'm going to sell it because of that...SDN gives it for free...
Greetings,
Blag.
Logic. Individuals illegally selling licensed content to people who do not have a license is illicit traffic on both sides. Buyer and seller break the copyright laws. Logic.
