Selcting the Logical System in BD21

Hi,

We are using Change Pointers in the Source R/3 system so that whenever the Data changes, IDOC is trigerred to XI and then XI will send the IDOC to the Target System.

We want these modified IDOCs generated through the change pointers should go only to the XI System and not to all the other systems which are configured for this type of IDOC in the ALE Distirbution Model(SALE).

In bd21 I do not see any option to restrict this modfied IDOC to just the XI Target System.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response. As you have confirmed that we do not have option to select the Logical System then how do we restrict that the modified IDOCS should go to only to XI and not to all the other Logical Systems configured to receive this IDOC Type in the ALE Distribution Model.

Our requirement is to send the modified IDOCs through Transaction Code BD21 to only the XI Logical System.

Thanks

Hi,

Please go to tcode: BD64 - display distribution model and make sure that your message type is distributed to the required logical systems. In your case just XI.

One master IDoc will be multiplied for each configured logical system creating many communication IDocs.

You might want to setup some filters to not to create communication IDocs for other logical systems.
