saprouter 194.117.106.129 cannot be reached from AIX server

We have a Sun box and an AIX box. Both are on the same network.

From the Sun box we can ping 194.117.106.129 and get "it is alive".

However from the AIX box, "ping 194.117.106.129" will hang forever and eventually time out.

SAP has anything special about AIX to access that particular SAP server?

Please help , thanks a lot!

Hi,

As far as i know there is no such restriction to AIX box,

any how you can check with your network team whether some ports are blocked in the firewall or not.Also check whether the entry exsists in the host file of your aix box and also make an entry in the routab.

pls check in the AIX box whether port level blocking is enabled.
