Folks,
For an RFC connection from a R/3 to XI what permissions does the user in XI need to have to route/transport/map idocs? Does this need to be a service or dialog user?
In "Mastering IDoc Business Scenarios with SAP XI" on page 64 it says you need to add the user/password for the RFC destination but it doesn't eloborate on the user's permissions unfortunately. Can someone shed some light on this please?
Many thanks.
Best regards,
Sven

Hi,
Check if you have below authorizations for RFC ID that have setup.
S_IDOC_ALL,B_ALE_ALL.
1. Attach the authorization object to the SAP user id ,which u were accessing.
2. Create ur SAP user as a communication or system user
with SAP_ALL transaction.
Please refer to this note for the authorizations, 837595

Try the roles assigned for PIAPPLUSER. They should be good enough.
Also I would say the user a/c should be of communication type rather than dialog.
