Hi All,

I have a query!!

Can we pass a default value for a field through "SHD0"?

It may be any transaction.

Well yes i think so.

When u r recording the variant in "SHD0" at that time

make sure that field has that value.

Eg: if u wanna make a Item Category default make sure when u record there is a value u want in Item Cat. field. but

then this will be default in ur VA01 screen for any order type.

Hi,

You can not post the default value to any field through shd0. It is purely meant for screen variant and transactio variant. That means u can change the screen fields structure or u can move fields in transaction variant from one place to other place.

If you want pass default value to any field then please take ABAper help and hard code that field in program..
