Installing CCMSPING Agent in Windows Cluster Enviroment for Central monitor

Hi

We have successfully register the CCMSagent under Windows Cluster enviroment.

When comes to CCMSPING, the registration done successfully but the RFC was created under physical node name. The SAP Central Instance is in Node 1. We installed the CCMSPING from Node 1. Add into Cluster and manually add into Node 2. When we go to Central System, we found out that the RFC was created with Node 1 physical server and the registered program name also refering to Node1.

Is anyone has similar experince?

Our concern is if node 1 down, the RFC cannot connect to node 2 since it's refereing to phsical node instead of cluster SAP system name.

Thanks

Have you followed the note 536954?

the sapccmsr profile should have a parameter SAPLOCALHOST=<VirtualDBHOST>

Also please please remember to make sure your SAP cluster group will not fail over is sapccmsr cannot be started, many a tear has been shed over this before
