Hi,
We are running NW7 J2EE AS on MSCS for EP/ESS. Following is our setup:
Node A:
Cluster & MSSQL Shared Drive
Java Dialog Instance Local Drive
ERS instance local drive
Node B:
SCS Share drive
Java Central Instance Local Drive
ERS instance Local drive
We are using local SLD installed along JAVA central instance on local disk of Node B.
ESS applications on portal requires SLD to be active. When Node B goes down, SLD is not active hence ESS application become unavailable. SLD has become SPOF now.
Is there any way we can move the SLD on cluster resource, so that it fails over along with SCS or is it possible to install another SLD on node A locally.
Require your expertise..

As you can read in the Technical Infrastructure Guide:
The SLD can be installed as one single central SLD, as one central SLD with sub-SLDs or
multiple standalone SLDs.
That shpould cover you.
Regards,
Benny
