hi

you are importing the RFC, Idoc in R/3 system no need to create .

you can directly import in to the external definition

in this case the external defination is used

Hi

The basic use of external definition came suppose u have a standard idoc which is having the occurence as 1..1 but if u want the multiple idoc for the same idoc type then u can chenge the occurence for the idoc as 0..unbounded and then u will import the file as external definition.

External definitions enable you to import WSDL, XSD, and DTD documents to the Integration Repository so that you can access the message definitions they contain as external messages.

Hi,

If we have XSD or WSDL File for either Source or Target Structures then we dont require to develop the DT and MT.

Directly we can create the External Def under Interface Objects and Import that XSD or WSDL into that.

We can create the MI directly from that External; Def
