Hello,
I have a little problem defining RFC interface in my SWCV.
I only have authorization in my SWCV in XI and I have the RFC that I need to use in the Imported Objects tree of another SWCV.
It's possible to use that RFC without modifying his origin SWCV? How can I do that? I have to create an external definition or something like that?
Explain me the process please, I have only basic knowledge of XI
Hi,
just open the RFC by double clicking on it.
Go to the WSDL tab.
there click on the button "Export WSDL to File", and save it as .wsdl in your local system.
then, come to your swcv and create a external def within your namespace.
choose the catagory as wsdl
now browse that wsdl file in the File
save and activate the external definition.
hope it will resolve.
**Rewrd points if helpful.

Yes, it is possible. You might use "dependencies" to make use of RFC definition from another SWCV (without modifying it).
For more details take a look here: [XI: Are you Independent...from your dependencies?|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2242] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];

In the future, if you foresee something like this, you can make SWCV version dependency in SLD.
Saying SWCV1 has dependency SWCV2,
whatever object created in SWCV2 can be visiable from SWCV1.
