Hi,

How to create credit memo request/Credit management for a customer.Please give me the solution for how to do in customization screen.

HI Raj,

To create credit management for a customer you have to use TCode

FD32

After that mention the Customer number for which u need credit management.

Then Specify the Credit Control Area CCA.

IN Overview mention the horizon

Then in the central data mention the limit of customer

For creating Credit memo

Goto VA01 Use Order type CR (Credit memo)

and proceed as normal sales order creation..

Hi Raj,

1) Credit memo request and credit management are two diffreent things. Credit management enables us to define Credit limits, Define risk categories, check the total credit exposure during a transaction like Order creation / delivery etc for our regular customer. In addition also Provides a communication system in the event total exposure exceeds set Credit limits. We also customize system behavior in case of credit exposure exceeding credit limits.

Steps to Customize the Credit management :-

1.Define an organizational element—The credit control area

IMG—enterprise structure—Definition—Financial accounting—Define Credit control area

2.Assignment

a) Enterprise Structure - Assignment - Financial accounting

Select assign Company code to Credit Control area

b) Sales & distribution

Assign Sales area to Credit control area

3.Define Risk categories for Customers

IMG—Financial accounting—Accounts Receivable and accounts payable—Credit management---Credit control account

4.IMG—SD—Basic Functions---Credit management/ Risk management

Select Credit management

a)Define Credit Groups

b)Assign sales documents and delivery documents

c)Define automatic credit Control

End-user settings

a) In the customer master (Sold to party) under sales area data, under billing maintain credit control area

Save

b) Define Credit limit for the Customer (FD32 change)

SAP menu—Logistics—SD—Credit management—master data—

Important settings to be maintained before customizing the credit management

1.Activate at the item category credit check

IMG menu—SD—Basic functions-Credit management/ Risk management-Credit management risk management settings

Determine active receivables per item category

TAN activate

2.In the pricing procedure the Total order value should have sub-total field maintained as “ A”

3.Exercise: create material do not maintain stock. So the order does not have confirmed schedule lines. Check whether credit check takes places.

2) Credit memo is created against billing document, sales document.

If you want to create against sales order.

Use T.code VA01

enter the order type Eg : CR ( for credit memo or what ever you want to use)

Menu Bar -


> Sales document->Create with Reference->

you are poped up with a pop up window select Order tab

and enter the sales order number.

All the data from sales order is copied into credit memo , can make changes to the quantity as required by you and create the credit memo request.
