We did a test run of the Remote Copy of WD1 client
100 (Development system) to WEQ Client 200 (Quality
system). There are table structures that are
different between the clients. Most are Z tables and
or custom tables. Please advice how to fix this??
This is the first time we are doing our remote client
copy.
Support patches are of the same level.
Any help is appriciated.
Hello Mihhajur,
Simply transport the Z table structures to your quailty system. In case any Z data elements and Z domains have also been created and are used in these tables please transport them as well . You can do the entire thing in one single transport or else send domain and data elements first and then the tables. Of course the most important thing is to ensure that the development classes/packages being used by the tables are also in quality beforehand.
Regards.

Sorry, I forgot to post the list of tables where we are getting the differences,

Hi Mihajjur,
For these also transport may be needed. While I am not very sure why the following tables are missing:
A901 Table Def. Missing Locally
A902 Table Def. Missing Locally
A905 Table Def. Missing Locally
A908 Table Def. Missing Locally
CATSDB CA-TS Field missing locally
CATSHR PT-RC-AA Field missing locally
CATS_TEMP CA-TS Field missing locally
for the remaning ones i.e. CE* tables the reason why they are missing is because operating concern WE01 may not be present in your quality system. So may be you need to send the transport for that first.
I think the earlier tables are also missing due missing customizing.
Is this quality system a fresh system or is it old one.
In case it is a new one then do a system copy instead of client copy.
Regards.

Hi,
I have done the version comparision and there was a change in data type from target or few had different versions.
A transport was always associated with all those and it was easy to push them to target.
But when I do the comparision for below tables, there is no difference between source and target.
Both are same.
What to do with these tables? and is there a meaning in transporting them? when its the same in target.
CATSDB
CATSHR
CATS_TEMP
PSERB
PSMERK
Hi Ruchit,
You suggetion help me. But I had some pain in reaching to the exact transsports related to these tables.
As it was not showing any difference when I did a comparasion between DEV and QAS
What I did to solve this, I went into the table iby t-code SE11, type the table name and click "Display". Double click the .APPEND where you find the Z* fields are added below it. In the next screen you see all the Z* fields now from menu bar go to Utilities->Versions-> Version Management
Now in the next screen you see a transport associated with it.
Release it and importin QAS and your issue is solved.
