SDM application undeployed unsuccesfull

Hi all,

is there anyone who know if you can edit the SDM deployment table?

We have an third party application that is deployed via SDM, however it seems that somehow the undeployment of the previous version went unsuccesfull. In the visual administrator the application is not shown anymore but in the undeployment tab of SDM the application is still visible.

When we now select this application and choose the undeploy version SDM just freezes and we have the same issue when we try to deploy the new version (since SDM will try to undeploy the old version first). So we are a little bit stuck, I was wondering if you can also maintain this table manually so that we can try to remove the application from the list and then hopefully are able to deploy the application again.

The only error shown by the SDM application log file is

Fatal: DeplContainerImpl.getGroupedDeployments

If we cannot find a solution we will also create an oss message but I hope that someone experienced something like this before :-).

Kind Regards,

Nico van der Linden

Hi all,

thanks for your answers, however we fixed the issue by updating the repository file (removing the references to this application there) and after that we could deploy the application again.

For people that might experience the same problem in the future. We already tried updating this file (\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance>\SDM\program\config\sdmrepository.sdc) before but then it didn't work out.

So when you update this file you MUST restart SDM (in management console) before starting it again to deploy, then it will work. Ofcourse becarefull when editing this file.

Hai,

Increase the JAVA Kernel level and then try to undeploy it from the SDM.

Have you tried using the deploy service instead of the SDM?
