Not able to kill workprocess

Hello All,

I have a problem while kill workprocess. I am not able to kill work process via SM50 and dpmon .

I tried via task manger but the process Id changes frequently.

So i can detect which process.Can somebody tell me how to kill workprocess without restarting the system.Thanks

Hi,

When SM50 fails, yes, you have to use the task manager.

If the process id changes, it means that the process restarted ans so that you have succeeded to kill it.

It is the SAP dispatcher whic restarts the disp+work process which is nominal.

Thanks .

But what I mean is process id in SM50 and task manager is diff. and in SM50 process id changes very frequently so i can't match process id to kill process via taskmanager.

Is there any other way of killing the process except SM50,dpmon and restarting System.

Hi,

use SAP Management console in windows

expand you SID -> expand hostname <inst_nr>

now click on abap wp table

select the work process -> right click -> all task -> kill

(under No 0 stands for wp0, 1 for wp1 and so on)
