Alerts for variance..

Hi guru's,

If there is any variances in budgetted and actual in either activity level or WBS element level, i want to send some alerts to responsible person.So how this can be done? and what are the alerts SAP PS will support/ Thanx in advance.Will be rewarded.....

Hi,

I don't thinbk there is any notification / alerts for variance of cost / budget in standard SAP functionality.

However you can define (warning with MAIL to person responsible) for tolerance limit of Budget Functionality about Consumption of budget such as on 90 %, 100 % of budgeted amount. In this case you can define mail to users on reaching specifc limit of the budget.

Hi,

Please follow the below steps.

1. Create Budget profile in transaction OPS9

2. Define Tolerance limit of the budget profile

3. In the action of tolerance limit provide actin category such as (1Warning, 2Warning with MAIL to person responsible, 3 Error message) for the usage

4. Budget Availability control need to be activated for this.
