xMAM sync never completes

Former Member

I have installed xMAM 3.0 (SR4 Patch 0) on a machine and when I click sync 9 out of 10 times sync never completes.

Our MI server is MI7.0 SP12 patch0.

Below is the trace file. Can some one point out what may be wrong please? How can I debug this in the middleware?

Thanks.

Hi,

you need to find mobileID for your installation and go to monitor - that will give you more details on what is happening with sync process.

Please refer to this link:

to get info on monitoring functionlaity of Mobile Infrastructure.

Yes. I look at merep_mon and I don't see it when I click sync, but when MEREP_HANDLER runs about an hour later, then I can see it in both sync monitor and merep_mon. On all other devices, I can see it immediately that MEREP_HANDLER runs and merep_mon shows it. Question is why MEREP_HANDLER is running with delay for this device, how can I debug this?

Yes this is a windows laptop client. Amount of data was 1,700KB in one case.

Thanks..

Hi Zehra,

I would request you to do re installation of MI client and check wheather the device is connecting to the middleware in reasonable amount of time. Please let me know the results.

Thanks.

When I click on sync button on the mobile device, I check sync monitor in NWA, and I didn't see the request coming in. But found out that about an hour later MEREP_HANDLER ran, and processed sync request, then I was able to see the SYNC request in NWA sync monitor. On other devices when sync button is clicked request shows up on sync monitor immediately.

Don't know what is different for this device..(.WAF_MAPPING is scheduled to run every 15 minutes.)

Hi Zehra,

Did you check the merep_mon for your mobile id when you do a sync from your device. Are you sending huge amount of

data to the device.Does this problem happens for the Laptop client ?
